We're creating something that works in two complementary ways: a buzzing Discord server where daily collaboration happens naturally, plus regular in-person meetups where those online connections deepen into something special. Our Discord channels let everyone find their niche, jump into voice chats when inspiration strikes, or share resources at 3 AM if that's when genius happens. Welcome to Terminus:PGH meetup number two. Once again, we’ll be hosting this event at Ascender on Friday, June 27th from 4-7PM and focusing on issues that are affecting scientists facing disruption. In this iteration of Terminus we’ll be focusing on Decentralized Science (DeSci), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and ways those technologies are impacting science and may be able to help our community.
Praxis Science will be hosting a Decentralized Science (DeSci) and AI conference – DESAI25 – October 1-2 in Pittsburgh. This event complements our Terminus effort, intending to focus on how emerging technology can benefit science. We have made a Call for Papers for those already working at this intersection, DeSci & AI, primarily in the basic sciences. More details will be coming.
